On the eve of the upcoming DevOps Summit in New York, I spent some time talking with the inimitable Roger Strukhoff about my introduction to DevOps, some key concerns it raises for enterprise execs, and the perception that it is more for devs than ops:
I first started thinking about DevOps back in 2010, when I was an IT industry analyst. It was an intriguing concept, but initially I was very skeptical. Of course I have evolved my opinion since then – it is amazing what a little (okay, a lot) of learning can do! However, my early skepticism stands me in good stead to understand enterprise IT executives’ not-insignificant concerns about DevOps.
